The mission of the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum Foundation, Inc. is to provide an educational opportunity to our community on all aspects of horticulture in the area. Develop an understanding and appreciation of trees, ornamental plants, encourage beautification of public & private lands, conservation of natural resources, and promote cooperation with other organizations with similar goals.

For your use and enjoyment, the following Park Rules have been established by the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum:

Park Hours:  5 am to 12 midnight, 7 days a week
Admission is free.
  1. Trails are designed for hiking/walking only. Jogging, biking, skateboarding, horseback riding and other sport recreation activities are not allowed.
  2. Leave no trace. Littering hurts wildlife and damages our landscape. Trash bins are located around the property and buildings for your convenience. Balloons and confetti are strictly prohibited.
  3. For your safety and to reduce environmental impact, please stay on designated paths.
  4. Dogs are permitted on a leash only. All City of Lubbock Ordinances regarding dogs must be followed (see City Ordinances below). Do not leave pets unattended in vehicles.
  5. We require that adult sponsors supervise visiting youth groups. At least one adult chaperone per 10 children is required.
  6. No weapons of any kind are permitted on the Arboretum grounds or in our buildings.

The following Park Rules have been established by City Ordinance, and violators of these rules are subject to fines.
